Mixed Martial Arts or MMA as it is known, is a growing sport. Because of the mixture of martial arts in MMA, this style allows for a very realistic method of self-defense while being well-rounded enough to compete on many levels. Redline MMA is the first and the foremost school in Pooler, GA for instructing mixed martial arts.
Redline MMA was originally started in Savannah Georgia as Savannah Martial Arts Academy and still offers the same great style of instruction but now includes more adult classes including Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Cardio Kickboxing, Fitness Training and Martial Arts Classes for Children starting at 5 years old.
We not only teach for self-defense, but also for fitness, and also for competition (including mma, submission grappling, and kick boxing). Our classes are great for adults and for children. Our Beginner and Advanced Youth Zanshindo / MMA classes range in ages from 5 to 13 years old and teach the fundamentals of our style: Zanshindo, while giving the students a complete mixed martial arts experience.
For adults, our mixed martial arts classes are the ultimate in realism. These classes teach adults the value of technique as well as the endurance necessary to finish with the determination to get through any attack.
Preregistration is open for US Grappling’s first Submission Only tournament in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday, February 13th, 2010 at the Supergoose Sports Facility. This venue is very convenient to I-95 and I-16.

Saturday weigh ins will be held from 8 AM to 10 AM for anyone competing in no gi divisions, and will be extended to noon for anyone that will only be competing in the gi. Competitors can also register and weigh in Friday night (more info coming). Competitors do not need to wear the gi during weigh ins.

Redline MMA fighter Demetrice Turner Gets Noticed by UFC and Pride Veteran
Local Professional Fighter Demetrice Turner has recently been accepted to Wanderlei Silva’s Professional Fight Team.
Demetrice travelled with friend and fellow fighter Zach Walters to Las Vegas last week to try out for the team. The fighters were evaluated on several different areas including striking power and technique, wrestling ability, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu knowledge and experience. Both men were accepted based on this criteria and are still in Vegas discussing training options now.
Demetrice has trained very hard for his career and hopefully will go very far in the sport. Being a long time member of Redline MMA, he has been in many mixed martial arts competitions and grappling tournaments and is undefeated as a pro at this time. We look forward to him moving forward with his career and will push him to success as he looks on to his time with Wanderlei’s Fight Team.
